The hotel is ideally located right across from the beach with a seaside view, making it perfect for a relaxed getaway. However, the room I stayed in was a bit of a letdown with noticeable dampness, mold, and dated decor. The service was a mix of unprofessional conduct but also helpful and accommodating staff. Despite the shortcomings, the location offers easy access to all the tourist attractions in Portsmouth.
I truly enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The rooms were spacious, and I had a fantastic view of the sea from a huge bay window. Although the rooms needed a bit of refurbishment, I slept incredibly well and appreciated not overlooking a car park or fire escape but rather the beautiful South Downs and rooftops toward Fratton Park.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of great views and disappointing room conditions. The sea view room was amazing to watch ships, but the presence of bed bugs was a letdown. The service was attentive and professional, ensuring a pleasant experience. The location was perfect for exploring Portsmouth old town, although the room's condition was not ideal.
